The Heritage Centre by Mountain View Events Ltd.
Effective Date: August 18, 2019
Last Updated: July 28, 2026
The Heritage Centre is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, including couples and guests with disabilities. We believe every couple should be able to easily explore our venue, pricing, and story, regardless of ability.
Our Approach
We aim to align our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. This includes ongoing efforts to:
- Provide meaningful alternative text for images, including photographs of our venue spaces
- Ensure the Site can be navigated using a keyboard alone
- Maintain readable colour contrast between text and background
- Use clear headings and structure so content is easy to follow with screen readers
- Provide captions or transcripts for video content where practical
Ongoing Work
Website accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time fix. As we update and rebuild our Site, we review new pages and features against these guidelines and welcome feedback that helps us improve.
Feedback
If you experience any difficulty accessing content on this website, or have suggestions on how we can improve accessibility, please contact us. We will do our best to address the issue and provide the information you need in an alternative format if possible.

This statement reflects our current efforts and goals. While Alberta does not currently have a provincial law requiring private businesses to meet specific web accessibility standards, we’re committed to this as a matter of good practice and hospitality.
